Start with an overall layout of your room. Try not to make the mistake of spreading out your furniture: a single chair placed in the corner, a coffee table to far from the sofa on the far side of a room, or a small painting on a large wall. Try to create zones. For instance, if you’re in your first studio apartment or a small one bedroom, make the most out of your available space by designating zones such as an eating area, a comfortable seating area, and a sleeping area.
