If you've been on BizToolBelt before then you should know we cover home entertainment here and from time to time I use the term "home theater". Today I will update your idea of a home theater because I stumbled upon this incredible soundproof system that should be a much better way of seeing a movie rather then popcorn at the movieplex.
The funny thing about this home theater room is the fact that Gregg Schwartz, the owner, is not bragging much about the TV systems or those comfortable chairs, instead he's very proud that his family and neighbors won't even know when he's watching movies. He managed to make it that good using insulated wall panels to absorb sound, 1-pound per square foot barriers material behind the double walls and a floating floor made of plywood that's been put on a material that blocks those bass levels from "getting out".
This is what I call a great investment and if your wives understand you guys, why not make your own soundproof home theater, because it won't take much money out of your pocket if you do it like Gregg did.
